The 5G EVE End-to-End Facility – Webinar for ICT-19 Proposers
20 September 2018 | 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The webinar was aimed at proposers for the upcoming ICT-19 call under Horizon 2020, which is dedicated to “Advanced 5G validation trials across multiple vertical industries”.
5G EVE is one of the phase 3 infrastructure projects and thus has a special importance for ICT-19 projects: “Trials are preferably implemented over the 5G end to end platforms developed under ICT-17-2018 …” according to the call text. For ICT-19 projects it is important to correctly understand how they can make use of these platforms.
The webinar gave an overview on the 5G EVE platform and answer questions like: How does the platform support ICT-19 projects in realising the European 5G vision of “5G empowering vertical industries”? How does it support “technological and business validation of 5G end-to-end connectivity”?
In the webinar, 5G EVE coordinator Maurizio Cecchi and 5G EVE’s technical manager Manuel Lorenzo provided specific answers to these questions for the 5G EVE end-to-end facility. The webinar informed ICT-19 proposers and other interested participants about the 5G EVE facility and how to access and use it for the trials and validations of ICT-19 projects.
The numerous questions in the Q&A session proved that the webinar met the information needs of participants.
